About
Hi — I'm John Wilson. I work in Identity and Access Management - which is a fun intersection of Security, DevOps and just classic system administration. This blog is where I write about the things I find interesting, the problems I'm working through, and the ideas I want to think out loud about.
I started this because the most useful content I've encountered online is almost always someone working through a real problem and writing down what happened — not polished documentation, not marketing, just notes. This is my attempt to put more of that into the world.
I write when I have something worth saying. No fixed cadence, no newsletter, no algorithm to feed. Just posts when they're ready.
What I Write About
Coding
Software engineering, systems design, tools I use and build, and lessons learned from production.
Artificial Intelligence
Practical AI — language models, what they're actually good at, and the shift happening in how we build software.
Identity & Access Management
IAM architecture, zero-trust patterns, authentication protocols, and security engineering.
Other Things
Whatever else catches my attention. Technology, tools, ideas — if I think it's worth writing down, it ends up here.
